The 70th anniversary of The Battle of Britain, London

Walking through London on Sunday 19 September, I spotted empty streets in front of Westminster Abbey. Out of curiosity, I decided to stay there together with staff from the press, the military, the police and many spectators. After the celebration in Westminster Abbey, remembering the Battle of Britain, veterans took place alongside the road. Together with the military staff, Prince Charles of Wales, Camilla Duchess of Cornwall and Prince William, inspected the troops. The parade opened with a fly bye of two fighter planes from 1940. After them it was the turn of four ultra modern Euro fighters. The Battle of Britain ended 70 years ago and was an air war between the German Luftwaffe and the British Royal Air Force. The battle lastest 3,5 months.
